The Japanese island of Hokkaido is serviced by the major city of Sapporo. Sapporo’s new Chitose International Airport (IATA code: CTS) receives flights from many international destinations within Asia. In addition all the major domestic Japanese airlines operate numerous daily domestic flights to and from Chitose. Most travellers come to Niseko via Chitose airport (aka Sapporo airport) and then get a Bus from Chitose to Niseko

Trains run at various times throughout the day. Most will require a changes
at Sapporo and/or Otaru. This is usually only a matter of crossing the
platform. Waiting can vary from 10 mins to 1 hour. The trip will take about
3 hours not including any wait time. The destination is the town of Kutchan
which is the closest point to Niseko
